Who remembers the band the FIX? Well, that song was in my head all day long. I launched out of Corral knowing the red tide was thick. Pefect day for a nice paddle.

I made some bait. 2 smelt and one green back. I worked the edge of the kelp for one 28" halibut. The bass bite turned on pretty good. Fish Trap Channel Island Chovie was nailing'm on the outside of the kelp.

It was ugly, dirty, thick, milky red with 1 ft of vis. But the fish were still biting. I saw maybe one yak angler the entire day. On a Saturday? With weather and conditions that can't be beat. Where was everyone?
