A LOT of guys use the Tarpon here in Texas. It's a FAST, dry boat. While I cannot speak from experience, I've heard tell they are not the hot ticket for rougher water. Basically, the Tarpon guys seem to stay out of the surf here. The tankwell (or lack thereof on the Tarpon) on the Scupper Pro was all the convincing I needed...
