As far as comparison paddling I have no idea about the other kayak, they all paddle well, it will be up to what you decide. As far as the New Drifter is concerned it is my new favorite of the Ocean Kayak releases. Roomy cockpit area, easy to rig, ample storage. I did remove the rear bungee and have several removable ones instead. Also added a Rhynobar, with all the gadgets, you had to know that was comming. Drifter gets my vote. Test paddle them both if you can, is best advice. TL Rhino
