I just picked my Extreme up this afternoon from Malibu Kayaks. I have the old VW Beetle. No problem transporting either the new yak or my old one which was 13.6 ft. My suggestion would be to go for it! Just make sure you have a good rack system. I wouldn't feel comfortable NOT having the rack system.
I rented the Extreme last weekend and I had a lot of whistling noise while driving. Never had any of the noise with my other yak. Today, I turned it upside-down and there was no whistling noise at all.
: Just wondering , how many of you guys put your Yak on top of your cars . How far can you go with the yak on top...How big is your Yak and your car?I am thinking of Buying the Extreme , The only thing that is holding me back is that I have a 4 door sedan, The Yak is bigger than the car.Any Pictures or info would be appreciated John G.
