I was going to go out this weekend, but this swell and a little fever has me doubting it.
Anyway;
I was able to launch the eX into some pretty bad weather over thanksgiving in Baja. I faced a 20mph cross gusts with a steady 10mph wind. Lumps and bumps all the way out for a while, then turned around and went back. I was happy with my new hatch seal design - keeping the eX pretty dry. The I put my rods awway in the front hatch to face the booming surf on landing. Handling the hatch was easier because it's lighter. Surfed in without a problem. For those that are used to deep keeled yaks, be ready for a more spinny ride on the waves, but it's no problem. Landed dry and fished the estuaries for some bass.
