: Does anyone have pictures of a FF setup on a Prowler, particularly showing the best location for the transducer and battery? How did you install your transducer, what kind of adhesive/silicone/goop did you use and the best way to avoid bubbles in the process? How are you protecting your battery from water contact?Tips/suggestions and pictures will be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
No photos, but did the install on my Prowler of a Humminbird 200dx. Transducer is epoxed inside, just forward of the front two scupper holes. I use a product found at www.nbond.com . Follow the directions on this stuff, its the best I have found, lasting for years, they say its permanent, but not totally. Battery is mounted just forwad of the transducer, in a foam sleeve, others use tupperware items with great results. Use something like velcro or I used a product by 3m called Dual Lock, recloseable fastening system. Couple of pieces under the battery holder, as well as under the battery into the holder. Everything snaps down and holds ok, unless you have a gnarly rollo yard sale in big surf, then all bets are off. Little bit of water wont hurt the battery, but thats why some like a tupperware battery box. If you follow the directions on the nbond product, and allow the epoxy to settle and vent any bubbles before you put the transducer into the epoxy, you should have no issues with air bubbles. My two cents, others have good ways as well. TL Rhino
