: I have owned both. I like each for its various reasons. I have not yet tried the new DRY ride Drifter, but if its like its previous model it is a quick and capable (open water) kayak. The OK Drifter will have all the extras without any additional costs (i.e. straps, hatch, handles on bow and stern, carry side handles and eyelets). If cost was an issue I would go for the Drifter. I truly like my Extreme shedon't blast me. Just trying to answer the guys questions. Hopefully I made a little sense.TL,fishinHB
