JS...I, too, am new to kayak fishing. After demo'ing a bunch of yaks, I decided on the Pro 2 Tandem. I felt that one best suited me and my budget. Understand that kayak fishing, and kayaking in general, is very individualized. What is right for one person may not necessarily be the right choice for another. That's why you should take your time and demo as many of them as you can. You will not only feel how each kayak handles, but you'll get to appreciate the differences in the layout of each one, as well. That way, once you buy your own kayak, you can really do a bang-up job on rigging it up for your own preferences. Good luck and Best regards. --JJ--
