Try Limekiln. You can camp and launch at sea level. I know what you mean about "cliff-hanging" launches. Limekiln is nestled in a little coastal forest with a neat river cutting through the bulk of the camp grounds. There's a dirt lot in between the main camp ground and launch. I believe you can camp your RV here. The waters edge is about 100 yards from this dirt lot. No cliffs. The launch is fairly protected and good bet for an uneventfull launch provided the conditions are mild. Btw, check the DFG regs for March and April up there. No rockfish, lings, cabezons, etc;
