I've emailed Malibu and have gotten no response in two weeks, so I called. To be honest, I feel I'm getting the run around. They tried to convince me I didn't need the new seal. I even offered to pay shipping. Said they would call back in two weeks to get my address. To be fair, they are in the process of moving. I have two Pro Explorers bought this spring and have gotten excellent service up till now. I was saving for a new Extreme, so now what am I supposed to do?. Bummer
Perplexed, Kayote
: : : I just installed my front hatch seal kit from Malibu Kayaks. I e-mailedMalibu kayaks and they sent me the kit 4 days later. It was easy to install and the instructions were very straight forward.I got mine too, took 2 months to convince them to send it out though. emailed and called several times but finally got it. it comes with a strip you peal off and 'stick' it to the Kayak.. Mine didn't stick for nothing so used the screws provided and also gooped the inside seam. stays dryer now. That hatch flange should have been higher/deeper. I've been trying to figure out how to extend it but no easy ideas so far.
