I have recently purchased a Piranha Max 20 and I am starting to chicken out on installing it in my kayak.
I am concerned about the price, I never by the cheapest model of anything, but I do trust the Humminbird brand. And I am also concerned about the lack of reviews on the Piranha's. I purchased this FF due to the small footprint of the base. It was the only FF I could find that would fit in the space I have for it, without anything sticking high off the top of the Yak. I could not really use a portable because I fish shallow rivers, where the transducer would constantly be ripped off. Can anyone give me any comments (postive or negative) on this product before I start drilling holes in my Yak!! Sorry for the lengthy message, I just wanted everyone to know my situation in order to give me the best reply. Thanks.
