Which lakes don’t cost a fortune to fish at? I am here in the San Fernando Valley and would like to fish a lake that doesn’t cost me much more than a box of squid.
My two kids (15 & 17) wanted to try fishing at some of the local lakes. I thought, sure, why not? So, two weeks ago, I took my son to Lake Castaic and paid $21.50 to park and launch my two kayaks. Yesterday, I took my daughter to Lake Piru and faced $22.50.
I know I am probably getting too picky and should possibly accept launching my kayaks in Lake Balboa which smells like laundry detergent or at Hanson’s Dam where anyone on the shore could cast their spoon into my yak. What ideas do you have?
