Yeah, took alot of info from this and other sites and armed myself with lots of questions that Simon from Sunset CK answered without a hitch.
Being a PB'er as well, I already own a handheld RayMarine 106 and my trusty Garmin 45 handheld GPS. I own a 18' Lake Tahoe boat which I installed the RayMarine L365 fishfinder two weeks ago. Thinking of bringing the monitor down from Tahoe next month, buy another thru hull transducer and install on the yak. Probably bring down the electric trolling motor as well!
From other sources, it sounds like there are a ton of tuna headed our way - hoping they start schooling around the inner banks! Yak caught dodo's and tuna sounds like a blast!
I need to build some leashes, a milk crate rod/storage box, scupper stoppers, compartmentalize the yak interior with some old boogie board foam, add a 12V battery for the FF and motor...toomuch fun ahead...
