: Does any one know if flush mount rodholders will work on a Malibu 2 by Ocean Kayak and if so where they could be mounted?. Thanks Doug
Scotty's flush deck mounting bracket or the mounting bracket, I dont use any flush mount rodholders in any of my yaks, because of my Rhynobar. If you use the first one be sure to glue in a bottom cover with rubber and marine goop, and make sure to get the rain cap as well. Sit yourself in both paddling positions and decide were you want the rod holders to be while you are seated. The Scotty extension is a good idea in this configuration, as it give greater clearance for the whole set-up. You will need a hole saw,and marine goop for this install, I used rivets to hold the mounts. I will have this yak at the 13th gig for you to check out more better. TL Rhino
