Launched at 5:00 PM for a late afternoon fishing in LJ headed North towards the canyon. Unable to find bait so I started trolling rapala CD-14 for more than an hour no action, turn around went South towards the kelps. Met with Art Who, he found no action either so we were slow trolling on our way back to the beach, by this time the Sun had set and its now dark. The water is very flat and I was enjoying the beauty on the coast lines glittering lights. I started putting away my fishing gears and I believed Art is doing the same thing. I was telling Art about some jumbo squid action the night before when all of a sudden his reel started screaming followed with my own reel so we both started reeling in and we both landed jumbo squid. I landed three more after Art had left. The squid measured 28" and weighed at 4 lbs the smallest at 3-1/2 lbs.
