How do you feel about a BIG money event?

Location: sf valley

Big Money events, can we kayakers do it? Bass men sure do.

As most of you know we have been doing a derby for the past 7 years, and anticipate the 8th annual event this September.
Our prizes have been exceptional, if you don’t know just ask a past participant.

It takes great effort to make things happen the way it does.(ask Jason) I think I have an idea that may help elevate our events to a more lofty status like the bass tournaments achieve.
SO…. Here is my question: How does a $2000.00 dollar first place prize sound?
Perhaps $600.00 for 2nd place and $400.00 for 3rd?

The catch is it will take a $100,00 (at least) entry fee to pull this off!

Would you pay it? I need some feedback on this idea. I like it.

After all many of us including me will spend 175.00 for an albacore or San Clemente trip
