I need more comments on the "BIG BUCKS" derby

I have gotten a few e mails as well as what you see posted. All were postive. One was, let's say semi positive. I do know the restauarant we use has lousy food. What they do have is the great outdoor patio we use for the awards.
I will seek a place like Ruby's or something else close by.
One kayaker recognized that I do this by myself, and though I have free time it is not infinite.

One good suggestion was moving the event farther south, makung it easier for our San Diego brethren to make the trip.

I am OPEN to YOUR ideas.
