Question: We're heading out on a three week kayak fly fishign trek along the west coast of Vancouver Island and want to take a fish finder along. We're working with Humminbird on this and we're wondering if anyone has tried swapping out the gel cel battery that would apply with most standard models for AAs. Apparently you can buy a plastic case that you put the right number of AAs into to convert from the power requirement of the bigger battery. That way of course, you can more handily have back up power.
