Thanks everyone for all u guys's advice and help on all my questions.
Finally decided on the Extreme. Took it out for the first time last Sat to Newport hb, windy but exciting still!
With lots to learn, the sonar operation(got the Eagle fish easy 2, thought it was easy enough to use for a newbie like me)
Had to read the manual twice this week before going out again, some how it displayed 93ft most of the time while we're in the harbor, may be it was in demo mode, but wait, it did function ok with showing between 14-23 ft of depth for the first 20 minutes, then it just jumped?
Going out again this Sat to try Crystal Cove, again it's for the first time. Wish me luck!
