I'm not saying the rig wouldn't work for getting bit on these fish. I do however see a problem once a big fish is hooked. I've seen snap swivels straighten on big fish time and time again. Even the strongest snap swivel can prove to be no match for a big yellow. Barrel swivels are a different story they will hold up just fine. There is a type of connector swivel which will hold but it's designed more like a split ring than a snap making it more of a hassle to use. Trust me if you stick with the snap swivels you it might cost a big fish.
RE: Thanks for the help, I wouldn't want anyone to lose a fish because of weak tackle. I guess I will just have to find the limit on this rig.
