The calicos were on the bite today boy!
When I pulled up, there was the biggest bird school
I've ever seen there. Right on the beach and out to
the boilers. Just birds diving everywhere.
By the time I launched, they had settled down and
noticed more bird schools in front of zeros.
I started that way but threw at the first stringers I
came to and just kept catching bass at every stringer
I came to.
I only fished for an hour and a half and managed 14
calicos, couple sand bass. One calico was about 4lbs.
Have to shoe some horses or I would have stayed longer.
Weather was nice, a little southy.
Saw about 6 other yaks on the water.
The couple bass I kept were full of anchovies.
