: The calicos were on the bite today boy! When I pulled up, there was the biggest bird schoolI've ever seen there. Right on the beach and out tothe boilers. Just birds diving everywhere.By the time I launched, they had settled down andnoticed more bird schools in front of zeros.I started that way but threw at the first stringers Icame to and just kept catching bass at every stringerI came to.I only fished for an hour and a half and managed 14calicos, couple sand bass. One calico was about 4lbs.Have to shoe some horses or I would have stayed longer.Weather was nice, a little southy.Saw about 6 other yaks on the water. The couple bass I kept were full of anchovies.
Great report Jimbo! Sounds like things are starting to finally get active. Sure I'd like to see schooling WSBs off of Leo, but I'll certainly settle for a hot Calico bite.
