They might not realize how much influence a message board can have. It works both ways. Good testimonials yield more business in the future. Bad experiences reported don't help business, but I would hope that it would help the business's ability to serve the kayaking community better. Cancer is a killer, but if you identify it early enough, there is treatment. Action should take these posts as warning indicators that something is wrong over there.
I think the owner from Action should have responded to one of the boards. I'm sure he's seen one of them by now. I don't think he finds these boards to have enough influence to cause any damage to his financial empire. He should put his version of the story up.
For the record, I did purchase a paddle from them. It's a great paddle and I got it for a great deal. Though a paddle should be a much less complicated purchase than a new kayak w/ hatch problems.
