Just getting into kayak fishing. I am Looking at the Drift or Cobra Navigator can you give me any pro's and con's of each. The warranty on the Navigator is lifetime I am not sure about the Drift. My use would be the Chesapeake Bay, four to five miles off the coast, plus lakes rivers, etc. I do know that you can get a 6-8 inch dry hatch on the Navigator and also a screw in 6 inch hatch optional on the Drift - I am assuming where the cup holder is. From what I have read, I am leaning towards the Drift for performance reasons. Can you recommend a fish finder (portable of course) and the requisite power source and how to store / secure that battery power source. Also how would you recommend attaching gear on the kayak such as mounting rod holders - revits supplied by the manufacturer or do you have some alternative acceptable method that will not pre-empt the warranty or leak. On the Drift model with the large hatch on the front, can you take it off and store an anchor and other gear underneath and if you were to punch through the surf can you store rods to get past the break water - I am on the East coast 3- 4 foot swells. The drift looks like there is not enough room down the center to slide the rods. You can see that I am a complete novice any advice, tips or comments would be most appreciated
