: Does anyone that fishes the Orange County area catch there own ghost shrimp? If so where do you catch them I am tired of waiting for the only bait shop close to me to open and getting on the water later than I would like to. Also can anyone tell me how long ghost shrimp will last in the fridge with a little seagrass in their container (nothing longer than 36 hours is what I plan to keep them for). Any info would be great. Thanks,Jeff

Jeff,

I'm not sure even if they still stock ghost shrimp. It's not exactly around the corner from you either though if you're in the area, give'm a call.

I'll never forget the time I went on a charter to Santa Cruz. I was catching dinky rocks all day long. The guy next to me was ripping in fat Sheephead left and right. It seemed like every drop, he pulled up a nice Sheephead. The guy was using ghost shrimp. Dem was some pretty conclusive results there.
They're hard to come by in my area as well. I'd certainly fish with them more if they were at my local bait/tackle shop (I hope Taylor Tackle reads this, lol).
